Passed away peacefully after a short illness at the Hamilton General Hospital on April 25, 2019 with his loving wife Alice Miller by his side. Robert was 87 years old. Predeceased by his parents George and Mary-Jane Miller of England. Sadly missed by his wife Alice Miller. Beloved uncle of Cheri (Stephen) and Andy Klumpp, Randy (Holly) Miller, brother and sister-in-law Hans and Margret Battig, and beloved uncle of Steven (Yvonne) Battig, Linda Battig, and families. Robert was born in Picton, PEC, and dearly loved his birthplace and the Sandbanks. Robert retired from working at Dofasco in Hamilton and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife Alice in Canada and to many foreign countries. In keeping with Robert's wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222). If desired, donations to the Heart & Stoke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
