With heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Michael, peacefully, surrounded by his family at Clarion Nursing Home on Friday, May 3, 2019 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Franca Colamartini (nee Guidi). Loving father of Mark Colamartini (Joanne) and Brigette Freitas (Brian). Cherished grandfather of Christian, Gabriel, Bianca and Andrea. Dear brother of Gino (late Lina), Lisa Schofield (Arnold), Mario and Rocco (the late Sally)(Joanne). Brother-in-law of Maria Serafin (Bruno), Carlo Guidi (Irene), Bernie Guidi (Debbie), Michel Guidi (Eva), Lucy Luongo (Armando) and Christopher Guidi (Melissa). Predeceased by his parents Rocco and Alberica Colamartini and parents-in-law Cleofe and Armando Guidi. Also predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law John Guidi (survived by Maria), Renato Guidi (survived by Angela), Frank Guidi (survived by Adda), Patrick Guidi and Phillip Guidi. Missed also by many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Special thanks to the staff of Clarion Nursing Home, Dr. C. Ambis and Dr. B. Khambalia for their sincere care and compassion. Michael will be remembered by many for his compassion and generosity. Above all, he will be remembered for his dedication and love of family. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934 Highway #8, Winona on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
