Obituary for Sandra Lynne Melhado
It is with great sorrow to announce Sandra Lynne Melhado passed peacefully with her family and some friends around her on May 30, 2019. Sandy turned 58 years old in April.
Sandy is survived by her brothers Bob and Allan (Heidi) and sisters Nancy (Bob) and Beverley and brother-in-law John Umolac. She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Agnes Williams and sister Karen.
Sandy will be greatly missed by her husband Alan, and her four sons James (Megan), Ryan (Nikita), Scott (Laura) and Craig.
Sandy was blessed to experience two grandchildren Lochlan and Ronan from Jay and Megan. She was also able to take great joy in learning of yet another on the way from Ryan and Nikita.
Sandy kept a very loving and active closeness with her many nieces and nephews. She was truly that “special aunt” to all. Sandy and her two nieces Barbara and Jennifer grew up in Ancaster and Hamilton like sisters.
Sandy worked in the Health Care Services as a PSW for many years. Sandy got very involved in energy healing becoming a Reiki Master. She gained the ability to help people physically and emotionally.
Sandy developed strong sewing skills at an early age. A gift she used through all stages of her life. We all have something handmade by her. Always a special surprise and beautifully made.
Throughout her various stages of illness, Sandy kept a very positive attitude while fighting hard at home or at the hospital. She is a great example of bravery to take into our own life lessons.
