Passed away at The Village of Tansley Woods on Friday August 9, 2019 at the age of 97. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary (Nee Antonenko). Cherished father of Ann Oatman (Ron) and Peter (Brenda Young). Proud grandfather of Geoffrey, Hilary Perry (Jason), Craig, and Matthew (Carol), and great-grandfather of Delaina and Liam. Roman will be deeply missed by extended family and friends. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday August 14, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. with Panachyda (prayers) beginning at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church (Pearl St. at Pine St. - BURLINGTON) on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery (1280 Dundas St W, Oakville) followed by a reception back at the Church Hall at approximately 1:30 p.m. For those who wish, memorial donations to Holy Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
