Forever cherished by his beloved wife Jane and children; Laura Nawrocki (Chris), Karen Heeringa (Mark), Stephen (Cristina) and Catherine Poziomka (Wade). Loving grandfather of Sam, Andy, Ben, Simon, Maggie, Henry, Audrey, Oliver, Ruby, Katie, Will, Matthew, and Alexandra. Son of Johannes and Barendina Sakes and son-in-law of Dirk and Christiana Balt. Dear brother to Willy (Mel), Ina (Frank), Helen (Albert), and Dina. Good friend and brother-in-law to Peter (Fran), Jake (Trudy), Betty (Harry), and Chris (Joe). A Funeral Service will be held at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 621 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
