Passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Jacqueline. Loving father of Greg Jr. (Lyne), Michelle (Mike), and Doug. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Bryan, Daniel and Melissa. Dear brother of late Robert (Maureen), Mary (John), Glen (Rosemary), Jim (late Marjorie), Tony, late Bernard and Bernadette (late Patrick). Predeceased by his parents Robert and Agnes Forbes. Greg retired from Dofasco after a career of 43 years. He will be remembered for his love of family, his faith and his special place on Otter Lake.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9. Vigil Prayers at 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church (2261 Parkway Drive, Burlington) on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10:30am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Reception to follow at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church. For those who wish, donations in memory of Greg to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
