Our loving Mom, Frances passed away peacefully at The Brant Centre, Burlington on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the age of 93. Born in Schumacher, she was a long time resident of Kirkland Lake and her heart never left the North. Frances loved spending her days in the sunshine, especially in her garden and watching the sunset from her kitchen window. She had a sweet tooth and made the best pies and cookies in all of northern Ontario. Frances will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and gentleness. She was the beautiful daughter of the late John and Mary Markovich. Beloved wife of the late Lucien Rochon (March, 1996). Loving mother of Mary-Lynne Flake and her husband Robert of Burlington and Mark Rochon of Timmins. Cherished Nana to Derek Flake (Talia) and Jillian Bradshaw (James) and great Nana of Juliet Bradshaw and Blythe Flake. Predeceased by her sister Vera Markovich. Survived by siblings Frank Markovich (Lillian), Rose Cunningham (the late Vern) and John Markovich. She will be missed by her dear cousin Mary DiFrancesco and family. Teta Frances will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment in Kirkland Lake at a later date. In memory of Frances, those wishing to make a donation are asked to please consider the Kirkland Lake Hospital.
