So sorry to hear. Caught up with Doug when he joined us for the 2015 Get to gather. So nice to see him and so sad about the long struggle he had. May he rest easy now. He'll be missed.

I was 5 years old the first time I met Doug. We lived around the corner from each other. His family, my family were part of a neighborhood group that did things together, holidays, vacations, parties. Doug and I had great times, had a lot of fun, got into trouble and spent our childhood together. Later on, after high school we went our different ways. Despite that we would stay in touch, less so as the years past, but every so often one of us would reach out to the other just to make sure everything was okay. When we did the familiarity , comfort and love was always there. Doug, you were my childhood. I am quite saddened by your passing. God's speed old friend.

So sorry about my friend..Doug could certainly talk your ear off...but it was all good and interesting. Will miss going down memory lane with him, and seeing the photos of his finished works. He was a true artist . And boy whaT a great fight against the big C. I'm sorry he didn't win. I will truly miss him. Sympathies to everyone...Another sad day
