HAWLEY, Christine Ann
Christine passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at Joseph Brant Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving wife to Christopher Hine for 30 years. Beloved daughter of Joyce and predeceased by her father, Howard Hawley. Much loved daughter-in-law to John and Irene Hine. Christine loved and was loved by her siblings and in-laws; Nadine (Hawley) and Ross Sanders, Rick Hawley, Steve and Michelle (Mitchener) Hawley, Fran (Hine) and Tim Kleinsteuber. She was loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews; Lee, Kealyn, Kaden, Ben, Nikita, Tori and Allie. Christine graduated from Parkside Highschool. She maintained her friendship with the “Parkside Ladies” throughout her life, meeting regularly to catch up over dinner and share their most recent adventures. After high school, Christine graduated from the Esthetician program at Seneca College. She worked at Laurie’s Spa at the Village in Burlington for 20 years before owning her own salon. A special thank you for the care and kindness she received at the Palliative Care Unit at the Joseph Brant Hospital. Christine will be sorely missed by her family, friends and clients. A Celebration of Life will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 4-7p.m. Tributes will begin at 5p.m. All are welcome to share your favourite memories.
