Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Joseph Brant Hospital on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late James Fredrick Hession. Loving mother of Cathy Lanc (late Stan), Maureen Hession, Phyllis Hession-White (Terry) and Jim Hession (Diane). Proud grandmother of Jessie-Marie (Greg), Lesley-Anne, Maureen and Daniel. Great-grandmother of Catherine and Edward. Dear sister of Marie and Angela. Bernadette was born in Antigonish County, Nova Scotia. She completed her nurses training at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, graduating in 1945 as a registered nurse. She met her husband Fred and they moved to Burlington in 1956. Bernadette loved to cook,entertain family and lived life to the fullest until the end. Her faith remained a constant strength throughout her life. She will be greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow.
