Surrounded by his family at Creek Way Village on Thursday, August 1, 2019 in his 92nd year. Husband of the late Joyce Olga Le Grand (nee Gladish). Loving father of Robin Rees (Rick), Jeffree Le Grand (Lyane) and Mark Le Grand (Francine). Proud grandfather of Colin, Allan, Nicole, Caleigh, Samantha and Kirsten. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Ivy Le Grand (nee Le Couteur). John was a professional engineer where he worked on aviation radar systems design. He will be remembered for his strength and love of family. A special thank you to the staff of Creek Way Village for their care and kindness.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 6-9pm. For those who wish, donations in memory of John to Alzheimer Society or a charity of choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
