ERWIN, Harold Leonard
Passed away peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the age of 79. Harold was born in Carnlea, Northern Ireland and came to Canada in 1955.
Predeceased by his siblings Ross Erwin (Joan), Roberta Winter (Frank), Eileen Patry (Paul), Gordon Erwin and brother-in-law Herb Brasier.
Survived by his wife Eunice (nee Brasier), son Colin (Linda), daughter Melloney (Rick Poplawski), grandson Kelsey (Heather Williams), sister Gwyneth Robertson (Lachlan), sisters-in-law Marielle Kimmel (Buddy Palmer), Frances Brasier, Shirley Erwin and many nieces and nephews.
Harold will be greatly missed by friends at Knox Presbyterian Church, golf members of Skyway Seniors Recreation Club and associates of General Electric Canada, Oakville Plant.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 461 Elizabeth Street, Burlington, on Wednesday, May 1 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to Knox Presbyterian Church or The Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
