It is with great sadness that Alsie Beyak (Wasaga Beach), Cindy Watkins and Martyn (Australia) and Debbie Heard and Sarah (Waterdown) share the loss of their son, brother and uncle. Larry was found April 11 in his home. He was 56. Heart disease took his life. Years earlier, his family and many friends lost him to mental illness. Larry will be remembered for his personal drive. He was a leader during his time as President of GDSS High School Counsel. He loved golf and hockey and his favourite team - GO LEAFS GO! His compassion to help others was seen in his professional life. In memory of Larry and his love for life, a donation to Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & Learning Centre in Puslinch, Ontario will be gratefully accepted. A random act of kindness to a stranger would be appreciated.

I recall many a good time with "Sir Lawrence" when we were associates a number of years ago. I am saddened to learn of his passing and will always remember Larry's mischevious grin. My sincere condolences to the Beyak family on their loss. RIP my friend.

We journeyed through High School with Larry. Endless games of "RISK" , Euchre and other teenage escapades; always in check. Larry was a kind and out going person. President of Student Councils and avid High school supporter. It did not surprise anyone that Larry went on to become a paramedic in Toronto serving others. He will be thought of always as a person who cared about others. A quality so lacking in todays world. He made the world a brighter place. He will be missed but thought of well in memory.
Sincerely, Gary Sommer

Condolences to his family from ours. I met Larry working with him at West Lincoln Ambulance in Grimsby. Our paths crossed many times over the years in his role as a sales rep for Laerdal Canada. He always had a smile and we renewed our friendship every time we met. He will be missed.
