Jack Pierce
February 17, 1925 to May 2, 2019

Peacefully, at the Chartwell Brant Centre, Jack ended his earthly journey. Predeceased by his wife, Mildred, brothers George, Stewart, Ernest and Roy, sisters Sadie and Anne, son-in-law Fred Bell, daughters-in law Corrie Pierce and Susan Pierce, and great grandson Devin. Survived by his sister Lettie and children Tom (Jeanette), Mary Alice (John), Glenn, Dan, Lois, Ron (Beverley), Roy, Greg, Bernie (Cathy), Sharon and Wayne. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Born in Brussels, Ontario, he served proudly in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the war. He then worked 35 years at Firestone Tire & Rubber Company and served as a volunteer fireman for the Burlington (Nelson) Fire Department, retiring as Deputy Chief. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Special Olympics Canada.
