Dear Carol and family, I was really saddened to learn about Lionel's passing. He and I were boyhood friends throughout our elementary and high school years. He was a great friend, a bit mischievous, and had a wonderful sense of humour. We had an agreement to give each other a box of Laura Secord chocolates every Christmas, as a way of ensuring a supply of chocolate for our personal consumption. Although I moved away from Hamilton and Lionel and I didn't have much contact during later years, I will always remember and appreciate our boyhood adventures. My condolences to all of Lionel's family.
